Thomas Schütte Hindsight

Thomas Schütte, considered one of the most important German artists of his generation. He studied at the Düsseldorf Art Academy.Since the late seventies, Thomas Schütte has worked in homonymous series examining moments of isolation, vulnerability and human despair. It was well known in the eighties with his architectural models: designs that lead to end the ability of simplification and exaggeration. Traditionally his work has been seen a bit utopian. Schütte whole work is imbued with social and political issues and the concern for relevance and position of the artist in society
